Today we’re featuring the fabulous local company Marigold & Grey, founded by Jamie Kutchman whom we had the pleasure of speaking to a few weeks ago. We love the products she puts out and so it’s no surprise we instantly loved her and her passion for what she does. Here’s what Jamie had to say about her company:
How did you get started?
I first identified the need for a boutique welcome gift service while preparing for my own wedding back in 2012. I spent way too much time trying to source locally-inspired items for my welcome gifts and in the end, some of them ended up being delivered to the wrong hotel altogether. It was a mess. It took another year after my wedding of me feeling unfulfilled in my corporate career where I sold bundled surgical supplies, before I actually resigned. I then jumped head-first into building the website and haven’t looked back. Absolutely no regrets!
What makes your service so special?
Here at M&G, we’re transforming the tedious wedding welcome gift process into a beautiful, modern, and enjoyable shopping experience. In just five to ten minutes or less, brides and wedding planners can design their own gifts on our website from start to finish. You start by choosing your packaging (i.e. box, bag or basket) and then fill it with exactly the items you want inside (snacks, sweets, beverages, toiletries, locally-inspired keepsakes). We believe that the final weeks leading up to one’s wedding shouldn’t be spent forming an assembly line of gifts. It should be spent stress-free with family and friends.
I believe convenience doesn’t mean having to sacrifice quality or uniqueness. Therefore, there’s a huge focus on sourcing artisan, small batch, hand-crafted items. No matter what a client chooses from the collection, they’ll end up with a gorgeous, thoughtful gift anyone would be proud to give….and elated to receive! We also offer a Concierge Service where we design fully custom gifts to match a particular client’s wedding style and budget.
