Jiayan and Nick were such a joyful, fun pair to work with. Wanting to ensure their wedding was an enjoyable celebration for their guests (especially family who traveled from far away), they knew from the start they didn’t want a traditional, sit-down reception. By designing various lounge and bar areas at Long View Gallery we were able to create the laid-back yet chic atmosphere they were hoping for. Their summer wedding featured soft pinks, greens and golds which added just enough romantic touches to a modern space. Personal details and nods to Jiayan’s Chinese heritage were some of the highlights of their wedding day. Chinese lanterns hung in the gallery walkway and a friend of Jiayan’s family created a personalized Chinese calligraphy stamp for the wax seal on their invitation suite. Cake truffles from Momofuku (a regular dessert spot of the couple), a champagne bar (Jiayan’s favorite), and Nick’s brother officiating the ceremony were a few other unique touches that made the celebration extra personal and enjoyable for friends and family. Thanks for letting me share in your day, Jiayan and Nick, and enjoy these lovely photos by Charlottle Jenks Lewis, featured recently on Style Me Pretty.
