Jill and Mike were married June 14th at the National Museum of Women in the Arts. Anne had the pleasure of helping them plan a formal affair with lots of fun, colorful touches.

Tell us a little about your wedding style?

Our goal for wedding style was “formal, but fun.” The National Museum of Women in the Arts was the perfect backdrop. The second we stepped inside, we looked at each other and said “this is it!” It provided the ideal jumping-off point to have an elegant, romantic affair, and bring together a variety of vendors to make the day special and unique.

Favorite detail of your wedding?

So hard to focus on one particular thing, because the whole day was so magical and we loved each and every one of our vendors. Our band, Millennium, was beyond fantastic. Their sound quality and energy was amazing. The one little extra that still makes us smile when looking at our photos are the “Schmoopie” signs from our table at the reception.

Most memorable part of your wedding day?

Our fantastic photographer, Abby Grace, suggested that we take “first look” photos and wedding party portraits at the National Portrait Gallery. The pictures are some of our favorite shots from the day. We had such a blast “getting away from it all” with the bridesmaids and groomsmen.

Why did you choose Atrendy for your wedding?

We loved Anne immediately. She was so easy to talk with, full of energy and incredibly professional. We felt that she got “us” and was so excited to help us build something really special with our vision. On our first meeting, Anne asked what was important to us. We told her that we wanted great food and great music. Occasions Catering and Millennium delivered beyond our wildest dreams.
