This is the first blog entry of 2010. I have a good feeling about this year. We have a lot of fun things up our sleeves around here and I can’t wait to share them with all of you. First, I have made LOTS of New Years resolutions for Atrendy some I know we can achieve with lots of hard work and determination and for the others, well, that celeberity wedding might be off in the distance, but you never know:)

I thought I’d share a few with you.

1) The Most Important…stay true to my Passion (weddings).

2) Grow our relationships with all of our clients. We love hearing their stories and we love them!

3) Become more personal and creative on the blog. ~Anne will also be more involved this year (yay)!

4) Sleep

Some Trends that you can keep an eye on in 2010.

Doll up that Bouquet

Wednesday, December 30th, 2009

It never hurts to put a little sparkle or memory in your bouquet. My grandmother had these gorgeous fabric hankies and I still wish I would have wrapped my bouquet handle with one of them. I’m sure you will be able to find something unique. Maybe its a favorite piece of jewelry from a vintage thrift shop, something special your ”hubby to be” gave you or borrowed from your mother’s jewelry box. Your bouquet will love it!

Smile

Tuesday, December 8th, 2009

The first time I saw an old fashion camera in person was at a New York thrift store. A friend of mine lived in Chelsea and we were walking around and happened to stop in to check out the cute store. She was photographer on the side and ended up buying the vintage looking thing she called a “Brownie”. With all the new trends in the wedding world lately I’m excited to use them as decor in some of my weddings.

Inspiration to Reality

Thursday, December 3rd, 2009

Abby over at Style Me Pretty has done it again using her creative genius to bring us something fresh and fun to look at. Things like this just make me love my job a tad more-I didn’t even know that was possible. Abby is inviting vendors to take part in a fun challenge asking them to bring an Inspiration board to life. What a fantastic idea! This was one of them and I loved it so much that I wanted to share it with all of my readers. A great team was behind the creation including Millie Holloman who took the fab pictures and Salt Harbor Designs who was the mastermind behind this charming shoot. I hope you feel the warm fuzzies. Check out their blogs for more. Hopefully you will be able to create something special that will come to life for your own wedding!

Flags

Monday, November 23rd, 2009

Swaying from a tree, hanging on a fence, lining an aisle above the most delicious dessert table- pretty “flags” are becoming all the rage. Maybe you want to use them too? They can decorate the most simple area and give it a style that you will remember.
