Little Vacation

I’m going away this week for a little R&R, but before I go I’m giving you a little teaser on what to expect when I return. I had fun designing for this photo shoot. There will be a lot going on next week here on Atrendy blog so stay tuned!

Vintage Love Story

I’ve been preparing something very special to share with readers for Valentine’s Day. A few months ago I was brainstorming on how to make a photo shoot super sweet. I thought of bringing a couple’s Love Story to life. The idea was for the couple to meet at a Train Station, have their first date in an Ice Cream Parlor, he proposes to her on the Ice Skating Rink and the wedding takes place in a 100 Year Old Home. The beautiful home belongs to my good girlfriend Simone, who had hot chocolate waiting for us after we got back from the 17 degree snowy weather outside. (Thanks Simone)! The model in the photo shoot is my lovely friend Allison. She was such a trooper out there in the cold- modeling isn’t as easy as it looks. Thank you Tom for making her laugh! You guys were such a cute couple. I want to give a huge thank you to my associate Anne. Without her dedication this photo shoot wouldn’t have turned out as good as it did, and to the fabulous photographer Katie Stoops for these AMAZING photos, also for your wit during the photo shoot (you’re truly talented)!!

You can check out more photos on one of my favorite blogs Green Wedding Shoes. Thank you Jen for posting our sweet Vintage Love Story!

I hope you enjoy looking … stay tuned for the next Love Story in the Spring.

gram-logoI decided to do a DIY wedding favor project. I wanted it to be a personal so I called my grandmother Betty and asked for her peanut butter fudge recipe. When I was a little girl I remember her making it all the time. She put a lot of love into it, so I wanted to share it with all of you. I remember standing on my tip toes and watching her put all the fun ingredients in the pan. The aroma spread through her house it brought back wonderful memories making it. Maybe you can find something personal to give out as a wedding favor?

A huge thank you to Terra Dawn with Terra Dawn Photography who came to my home to take these fun pictures.
