When we were asked to do a creative photo at Ingleside Vineyards from the talented Astrid at Astrid Photography how could we resist. We had a lot of fun handpicking the vendors and coming up with the great ideas for shoot. It actually made the cover of Weddings Winery Magazine. The couple was darling and they recently got engaged (Congrats!!). Thank you to everyone who was involved to bring this lovely photo shoot to life.

Atrendy 4th of July

Happy 4th of July everyone. We wanted to share a special little photo shoot with you that our fabulous intern Taylor designed. It’s always fun to create something that puts a smile on your face. These wonderful photos were taken by the very creative Nessa K Photography. We hope everyone enjoys this important holiday with a big bang!

We asked Taylor where she got her inspiration from and this is what she had to say,”Growing up 4th of July was spent going to backyard BBQ and watching the town’s firework show at my local high school while enjoying tons of cake and candy. I loved running around with all my friends with sparklers and playing games. This is where I got a lot of the inspiration for this fun photo shoot! I loved putting all of this together and playing with tons of fun ideas to celebrate Nations Birthday”!

Thanks Taylor!

Thanks Lexi

Saying goodbye to Lexi was really hard. She was a wonderful intern to Atrendy this summer. I knew we would love her the minute I met her at a coffee shop in her Lilly Pulitzer dress. She brought us fresh ideas and lots of dedication. We just can’t thank her enough. So, we wanted to do something REALLY special for her to remember all of us by. It involved cotton candy, bumper cars and farm animals. We hope you enjoy our way of saying goodbye to a perfect intern. Terra Dawn was the genius behind these amazing photos. I think she had as much fun as we did! Check out the photo shoot on her blog too.

Lexi, good luck at college you’ll be missed and a HUGE thank you from the three of us.

Roadtrip Engagement Session

With Gabe Acevesbehind the lens, we recently styled a darling engagement shoot out in Leesburg, VA. We were inspired by the couple’s innate fashion sense and we collaborated with Gabe to create the type of road trip all of us would like to take! First we had to make certain our transportation was consistent with the mood, so we were thrilled to use a classic 1976 Cadillac Eldorado. We also pulled from our own collection of vintage goodies for some great luggage pieces, journals, maps and signs. One of our favorite shots from Gabe was the picnic spread. Who wouldn’t love a few sweet bites from Mom’s Apple Pie while mapping out the next location on the map?

To see more of the fabulous shoot, head over to Green Wedding Shoes blog. And thanks again to the talented Gabe Aceves for letting us have so much fun that day!

xoxo,

Lauren & Anne

Easter Photo Shoot

Its that time of year again.. So pull out those pastels, and plan the perfect Easter brunch! We’ve got just a bit of spring inspiration to help you get started. Use pretty seasonal flowers to add touches of color to your table. But don’t forget about the Easter eggs! Personalize them for a perfect place setting. Finish your table with fun breakfast food and delicious desserts. Easter is the perfect occasion to celebrate, so show your guests your egg-cellent taste and plan a brunch they won’t forget!
We had a lot of fun planning this Easter photo shoot together. Check it out on the Wedding Chicks blog also.

Happy Valentine’s Day

Love Games: A Proposal Story

In the spirit of St. Valentine, we bring you a cute shoot we recently created. We had a lot of fun toying with the idea of producing a Game Night to remember…from the guy’s perspective! The vibrant and ever-so-talent Abby Jiu helped us to create one of our dream proposal scenarios - one that takes place over a weekly ritual of Scrabble and quirky board games. What lucky girl could possibly resist love being spelt out for her like this? We hope you enjoy!

xoxo, Anne & Lauren

Happy 2011!

As we gear up for a fabulous New Year we wanted to take a second to remember a remarkable 2010. Some of the highlights were the very talented Lauren coming on board to make the trio of Atrendy. We are so excited to see what she does this year! Also, the birth of Anne’s baby Jack, which happens to be the cutest baby ever!!! We will reflect on the bonds we have built with our oh so fabulous clients- we just adore you guys!!We love the vendors we work with and appreciate immensely the relationships we have with all of them, thank you! We are really looking forward to more fabulous weddings in 2011 and working hard to come up with creative ideas that reflect each couple we work with. Here’s to my last blog post in 2010 and many more unique and fun ideas to come!

Some Atrendy resolutions

*To dabble in more creative photo shoots this year. (Part 2 of our Love Story being one of them) …A Nautical Love Story coming your way, stay tuned!

*Anne would love for one of her weddings to be published in print. Great goal Anne!

*Lauren wants to keep her journal on her nightstand updated – her most creative ideas come to her right when she wakes up.

*To be true and happy with each couple we work with this year. We love our clients!

Photo Shoot

When Terra Dawn asked me to apart of this wonderful photo shoot I was honored. Sitting there with her at The Starbucks back in May the ideas starting to come together- a flower/farmers market was the first inspiration I had. There was something special about it from the very beginning and I was anxious to get the other vendors involved. When they started to come on board I realized how much of a team effort it really was. Everyone really pulled together to make the special photo shoot come to life. Thank you, Anne for helping me ~you’re a wonderful team player! Holly was great with ideas. Her flowers are always beautiful, and she made the cutest headband for our model. Holly brought her daughter (Abby) for set up, and like mother like daughter, she was super creative too. I don’t think I can thank Albert enough for supplying the goods for the farmer’s market decor. Kathy rocked out hair and makeup on our model! Kendall for her sweet strawberry cake and Capital Decor for the rentals (thanks guy for going up in the tree and hanging the chandeliers)! We were all contributing everything we could to make this a darling shoot. I loved going to my favorite store in Lucketts to shop and even in my own shed! I really appreciated this great team of wonderful people to pull off something so charming and creative! Terra is an amazing photographer, and I was honored to be apart of something so special for her! I have two favorite memories of the day, one was when the young photographers were finished with their seminar and saw our photo shoot set up they came running out like a herd of wild animals with cameras in hand, and smiles on their faces, to take pictures of everything, priceless! The one scene I had in my mind for weeks was the sweet models at the cafe tables with the beautiful horses, when it was happening it was such a special moment between photographers and the rest of us watching….we knew we were all capturing something that we will remember! We did the actual photo shoot in June so we are so thrilled to finally share it with all of you!

Check out Style Me Pretty too we are beyond excited to be featured on their site. Enjoy…
