We were so happy to throw our 3rd annual cocktail party with our good friends Jamie & Laura a few weeks ago. This year we held our swanky party at Lotus Lounge. The end of summer event was filled with our closest friends in the industry. It’s a night where we all come out to simply enjoy a super fun cocktail and really good laughter. The B-List party was so fun! I met a lot of wonderful and creative people. It was so exciting to see the faces behind some of the most gorgeous wedding blogs out there. I’m so excited to see everyone tonight at the Topped Factory for the B-list event. We hope to see everyone there at 7:00! What a great evening… I’ll go to my lovely rehearsal then head to a fantastic get together.

Last week I had the pleasure of getting a few of my favorite wedding planners together in Georgetown. It was a gorgeous sunny day and we all had smiles on our faces. Being in the company of these ladies has to be one of my favorite things to do. All of these wedding planners have the “passion”. You can spot that a mile away in them. They are born with that drive “the love for weddings” you can see it in their work. They eat, sleep and dream weddings. I believe that there is a perfect wedding planner for every bride. I’m blessed to know these ladies and I always enjoy being in their company. Thanks for coming out and I hope we can all get together again real soon!

Rachel from Elan Artist sent this over they were asked to provide the video, entertainment and photos for the Martha Stewart Weddings 15th Anniversary party at The Plaza last week. I thought I’d share a few of the fun details, but what do expect its Martha! Congrats Elan.

The Garden of Good and Evil was the theme of the party I recently went to at The Halcyon House. Kelly Jenkins from Capitol Decor is brilliant with his designs, an absolute genius. The party was filled with sassyness and I loved it. Well Dunn had me going back for seconds at the pumpkin risotto station-yummy. Chris Laich had us all moving to the groove with the great tunes. Thanks for the invitation I enjoyed hanging out in a great atmosphere with all my fabulous industry friends! I route for GOOD;)

Last Wednesday I attended one of my favorite tastings ever. Occasions Caterers had wonderful food tasting at the American Pharmaceutical Association in Washington DC. Occasions is a certified green caterer, and that means they are committed to protecting the environment and conserving natural resources. The idea behind the tasting was for local farmers to contribute fresh ingredients and Occasions chefs to make delicious delights out of them. What a clever idea! It was very interactive, tasteful and colorful…..not to mention the view was amazing.

Last year I geared up with my very good friends Jamie & Laura to throw a swanky summer cocktail party in the city. It was a HUGE success so we decided to try it again this year. It’s always nice to get all your event professional friends together in one room to simply have a good time! Our party will be held this Thursday at Josephine a chic lounge in the city. We are expecting a great turn out, and of course, a fabulous time. We have a few things up our sleeve… I’ll post more about it when the talented Juan Carlos gives us the pictures. In the meantime, I thought I’d blog the party we threw last year at The Park at Fourteenth in DC. If I had a blog last year I would have given it a shout out then. I guess its better late than never. Jennifer and Mary of Love Life Images did a great job with the pictures last year and everyone LOVED their fun photo-booth, so I thought I’d share a few of those pictures with you. See you Thursday.
